Display Your Photos To Bring Memories To Life

The tendency today, and for good reason, is to simply ask for digital files from your family or senior photo session. First, it's easy to share them with friends and family via email or on social media. Second, it avoids the stress of choosing sizes (which also comes with questions about framing and hanging your wall art for larger sizes). Third, people assume that digital images are cheaper. Let's consider these for a moment.
There are photographers who will take a ton of photos at your session, and give you the digitals as part of a package price. If that's what you want, then you don't need to hire a seasoned professional who has invested years and substantial dollars in equipment and training to create these memories for you. That's the primary difference between snapshots and photographic art. If you've invested in a professional session hopefully you love the results enough to want the images on display in your home - and not residing only on your phone.
I don't have minimum purchase requirements for my clients, but I do think you will get more enjoyment from seeing these captured memories on your walls. They will also be valuable to your children as they grow up and are reminded of those moments frozen in time. I consider anything larger than 8x10 to be suitable for hanging, that size or smaller are referred to as "gift prints" that you can share with family and perhaps end up on dad's desk at work or on grandma's nightstand.
For a couple or up to a family of four a 16x20 print will give you enough size to see the faces and expressions of your loved ones. The larger the group the bigger you should think about in terms of artwork. I work with my clients to help them decide on favorites, and then (with your help) suggest groupings or a suitable size print to hang on the walls of your home. Simply take a photo of your wall where you consider hanging up a print or a grouping. It helps if you can tape up a sheet of copy paper when you take the shot, so that I can scale the space appropriately. Think about over the fireplace, above your sofa, or even up the stairway. Then we can design sizes and collections that suit your taste, budget, and needs.
